Haley had always thought the best thing about summer was being able to lounge around the park all day, without the worry of school work or the need to get up early the next day.

Mostly it supplied an opportunity to get away from the complexities of high school and the never ending, will they, won’t they’s.

Occasionally Lucas would join her, but most of the time it was just her and she’d used to like it that way.   The body next to her shifted, distracting her.   This year however, the best thing was having Nathan to share it with.
